Another step in the right direction

Fullscreen capture 232014 71532 AMToday I started a list of all of the online places where I have landed over the past couple of years. I don’t know about you, but I have this little Etsy shop attached to that particular email address; and I have that other account attached to a different email address; and then some other profile on another social media site attached to still another email address . . . . I wish they could all be attached to the same one, but if you want more than one Etsy shop, you have to start a new email address.

All of which can get rather confusing over time, especially if (like me) other things have appeared in that place called “Real Life” that kept you distracted and you haven’t been paying attention to all of those spinning plates out here in cyberspace. Maybe it is just me –

So I started my list so I could remember which account on which social media site is attached to which email account, and what all the passwords are. Perhaps that sounds a bit OCD, but I simply can’t remember all that stuff. It’s no wonder I sometimes just decide to go read a book or take a nap instead of posting something new here on my blog, or on my FB pages, or on Twitter, or on . . . any number of other places where I COULD do something productive.

Anyway, I’m going to have Katherine of Katherine’s Corner help me update my blog and get me organized – we’ll see how I do with some help!

One of the places where I finally set up an account is BlogLovin’ – I don’t know how it works yet, but I decided to find out! I hope that I can stay focused on this project long enough to get myself organized (with Katherine’s help, of course) – I think I might sleep better at night, not having all this junk spinning around in my head. I’m open to your suggestions, if you have any ideas on how to keep all of this online stuff organized.

Please – leave me a comment on how you do it all!

I’m always forgetting what emails and passwords go with which account too! How great that you’re having Katherine help you–please keep us updated. (I think I’ll need to do that soon too.) Best of luck and enjoy your “Real Life” weekend! Aloha, Lori

I have the same problem, especially when, as Lori mentioned, you factor in all the passwords you need to remember! Fortunately for me I have a wonderful son in law who has promised to pull it all together for me. Good luck and happy Sunday.
