Our new home

Fullscreen capture 9302015 75613 PMWell, it’s not exactly NEW . . . but it is new to us! And it is SO much bigger than our sweet little lake cottage, and it is SO much closer to the girls’ schools, and that is a really BIG deal to our family.

Although it is an older house, it has great potential for updating, painting, and lots of other fun DIY decorating projects. There is a huge deck with a gazebo, a lovely little perennial garden with an arbor in front of the circle drive, and a HUGE studio space for all of my creative projects, as well as an office area so that I can work on my business and not have everything out on the dining room table!

Fullscreen capture 9302015 75745 PMThe kitchen is really large with more cabinets and counter space than we’ve ever had. All of the cabinets were custom designed for this house, including the floor-to-ceiling pantry with pull out drawer shelves. There is a family / dining room with a fireplace just off of the kitchen, and a sun room (that I think was originally the porch before the remodeling projects that added the living room with another fireplace, the workshop / studio and office in the back).

There are 2 1/2 bathrooms, a laundry room just off the master bathroom, and the girls each have their own bedroom with a shared bath.

Fullscreen capture 9302015 75820 PMWe feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to live in this lovely house and I’m going to have great fun showing you all of the before and after pictures as we do our own creative magic in each of the rooms. Until then, let’s have fun at this week’s blog hop! Hope you can join us!

I’m so excited about your new house and studio and office space! Let’s do this thing He’s called us to do with so much provision at hand. I am encouraged because I’m believing for abundant provision to do what He’s called me to do. Seeing His faithfulness to you–I am renewed!! Joy!

Beautiful home! Having enough space and being close to important locations, especially with kids, says a lot. I love the layout and the yard sounds wonderful. You are blessed!
