Stars and Stripes American Flag Pie from “An Extraordinary Day”

Every week I try to get out and about to visit some other creative bloggers to make new friends and to find inspiration and ideas for new projects to work on. Not that I exactly need MORE ideas, but especially when it comes to cooking, I really do need some guidance.

I’m actually a pretty good cook when I take the time to do it . . . . .but most days I would really rather be sewing or creating something that lasts longer than, well, a pie.

So when I came across this blog post today I just wanted to share it with you. You will have to visit the original blog where you can find the complete recipe / tutorial on how to make this beautiful, patriotic dessert for your Fourth of July celebration.

I’ve never been able to master the skills required to make a good pie crust (I can make a loaf of bread quite well, however, but pie crust – not so much), but this recipe just might inspire me to give it another try.

If you would like to make this beautiful Stars and Stripes American Flag Pie from Diane at “An Extraordinary Day,” just pop on over and visit her and be sure to tell her that Vintage Mama sent you!

Hope you all have a safe Fourth of July celebration, and let us never forget all those who have made our country and our freedoms a reality.

That is a great looking pie. I can’t ever think of ideas like that on my own. I always have to have a recipe to follow. Thanks for sharing your findings.
