Vintage Mama’s Cottage is FOR SALE!

DSCF4779Yes, it’s true . . . . our little cottage by the lake here in northern Indiana is for sale. We’ve been planning to put this house on the market for a couple of years now, mostly because we need a bit more room now that the girls are both (almost) teenagers, AND the fact that we really, really need to be closer to school.

With one of our girls an athlete, and the other one involved in music, I have been in my car WAY too much this past school year! There is only so much that a mama can do while driving from one end of the county to the other, several days a week, and waiting, waiting, waiting for this practice or that lesson or that game to conclude. Taking a book to read is a great “pass time” . . . . but I don’t exactly have lots of extra “time” I need to pass along.

Too much to get done here in my little sewing studio (which hopefully will be my “little bit bigger” sewing studio by the end of summer!), as well as all the computer work that needs my attention on a daily basis, for me to be sitting in the driver’s seat of our car for that many hours each week.

So, actually my Vintage Mama’s Cottage business is not for sale – we’re just getting rolling on our summer collection of “Curvy Girl” clothing that I am creating for the Gossamer Threads Shop label – and as soon as that collection is finished (this week!) and listed, we’ll be planning the autumn collection. Then the goal is to get back to working on some of our fun refashioned garments for the Tatters to Treasures shop.

So much to do, and of course, never enough time to get it all done. Especially when one is trying to sell a house. I guess I forgot how stressful this whole process can be. You just get everything organized and tidied up so it is presentable to show to potential buyers, and then BAM! the family has to actually live in the silly house again. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Again. And Again. Hopefully it will sell soon so I can get on with the business of business.

Hopefully your week is not quite as stressful as mine has been, and you can join us for the Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop, sponsored by my dear friend, Katherine from Katherine’s Corner, and a few of our other bloggy friends. I’ll be posting pictures after next week’s Gossamer Threads Summer Launch Party, so be watching for the summer collection from Gossamer Threads Shop!
