When day is done

Safe in the arms of JesusThis moment, this day, it is beyond my ability to have any words. Today a sweet friend passed safely into the arms of Jesus, for which we celebrate for her. But for her family, we are broken. A beautiful mother, wife, grandma, daughter, friend . . . her loss was so sudden that we cannot begin to find a way to understand.

But then, that is the amazing grace of God – that we do not need to understand why this happened, but we can know from our own experience that He changes lives through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and that must be enough at a moment like this. And so as our community and our church prepares a final farewell, today I really have no words, just a time of silent grief, remembering her sweet face, smile, and beautiful laughter. We rejoice as we weep, that even when day is done, she is safe in the arms of Jesus.

Even in the midst of unspeakable sorrow, there are those who walk along side when we are grieving, and this weekly connection with many of my “long distance” friends is a time of joy and friendship. I hope you will join us so that this community can be an encouragement and blessing to you, too.

I am so sorry! I lost my Great Grandson 3 years ago, he was four years old. It was a freak accident, a Large old 60″ TV fell on him, he was gone immediately. He was crawling on it to change the channel and it tipped forward, and landed on his chest. His other Great Grandfather took the tv outside and smashed it to little pieces. Three years later, my grand daughter just started dealing with her pain this year. She regressed as if it was a bad dream. Her and my daughter are just now starting to heal. It put a wave between them, and myself. God has his timing, and I know he blessed our lives with him for a time, and we will see him again one day. I just pray my Grand daughter will be saved, I don’t think she is. It is hard when it is so sudden. God bless!
